Solar City Air Filtre, the SCAF
What is it? Basically, the SCAF is a structure designed to make use of previously wasted city space, solar power and natural draft to simultaneously filtre pollution from the air and generate green energy, thereby reducing air pollution on two fronts. Actively removing pollutants already present in the air such as soot, dust, CO2, benzene and PM10s and reducing CO2 emmissions from fossil fuel energy production by decentralized solar energy production. The SCAF is designed to be built on roundabouts, highway centre strips and large traffic islands, and so is perfectly placed to trap pollution coming from one of the main contributors of a city's air pollution, traffic while using previously wasted space. For more information on the structure, the project and why we need it please browse through the pages of the site.
